Burien Town Square Parking Study

This study entailed development of a parking plan to support the phased construction of the Burien Town Square development. The basis of this work was a parking survey to identify on and off-street parking supplies and measure parking demand by time of day. These demand characteristics were then compared with building uses to develop an estimate of long and short term parking requirements based on several redevelopment scenarios. Recommendations were made to provide new parking supplies at key points in the redevelopment process and change how on-street parking supplies were managed. The findings were reviewed with a citizen's stakeholders group that made recommendations to change City policies, practices and codes.
