Kirk Harris, PE, PMP

Principal

Kirk Harris is a professional civil engineering consultant and brings his 28 years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation design, and project management as a Principal to TSI. Kirk has provided his consulting service skills to public agencies and private clients to help move forward their transportation projects. These projects have ranged from local roads, roundabouts, and traffic signals, to highway interchanges and transit facilities, to recreational shared-use trails and ADA-compliance improvements. Primary purposes of these projects have been to increase public safety, improve traffic flow and operations, and accommodate economic development. Kirk is an expert at preparing plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E) bid packages for construction; developing, analyzing, and recommending project alternatives on planning and pre-design studies; and formally and informally presenting transportation projects in a public forum.

Kirk is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), the American Public Works Association (APWA), and is a registered professional engineer in Washington. He is also a credentialled Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS). Since 2009, Kirk has been a publicly elected Commissioner for the Fall City Metropolitan Park District.

Away from the office, Kirk enjoys spending time with family and friends, checking things off of the seemingly never-ending home improvement to-do list, hiking, and watching his sons play soccer.
