Seattle University

SeattleUTSI has provided transportation planning services to Seattle University since 1985. This has included preparation of the transportation analysis for the 1985, 1995, and 2011 master plans and environmental impact statements. Transportation analysis work included intersection operations, pedestrian circulation, parking demand analysis, trip reduction programs, parking operations, and addressing community concerns regarding overflow parking and its management. These projects received extensive community and agency review and have guided the future development of the University. A unique portion of this planning effort included development and application of a software tool to evaluate parking demand, parking supplies, and the effects of different pricing scenarios on parking demand and development of new parking supplies. Follow-up work has included the use of electronic surveys to document the effectiveness of the trip reduction program and preparing the traffic analysis for individual university projects.
