Washington Street Corridor

The W. Washington Street Corridor is the former US 101 alignment through downtown Sequim, WA. The corridor is controlled by four signalized intersections. The corridor experiences significant midday traffic congestion as a result of local demographics that includes a significant population of retired and semi-retired residents. The corridor experienced numerous crashes in the past five years including crashes involving pedestrians. TSI led a community workshop to better understand citizen concerns and gained valuable insights into the operation of the corridor. TSI is developing solutions including the revised channelization, updated signal control equipment and new traffic signal phasing and timing.
