Senior Transportation Engineer

Steve Diebol has 17 years of diverse experience in the consulting world throughout the Midwest and Puget Sound Region as a transportation engineer, project manager, and team leader. Steve enjoys working with clients to identify and evaluate transportation safety and operations issues and develop solutions that reduce crashes and accommodate all users. Steve’s technical expertise includes performing safety studies, roundabout design and analysis, traffic signal and illumination design, and traffic operations analysis. Steve has developed his abilities to apply his knowledge of agency design and analysis standards to successfully lead teams through conducting feasibility and alternatives studies through the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates and other construction documents.

Steve obtained his Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University and is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). Steve holds Washington and Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) licenses as well as Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) and Road Safety Professional Level 1 (RSP1) certifications.

Steve spends his free time hiking and photography on regional trails, coaching little league sports, and having board game or movie nights with his family.
